Your Instructor Dr. Cynthia Brown
Dr. Cynthia C. Brown is a highly accomplished leader with deep expertise in renewable energy and workforce development. As Chief Executive Officer of IWNL Energy in Orlando, Florida, she leads business development, contract execution, and program strategy to deliver innovative training and career exploration tools for the clean energy workforce. She also advises clients on training programs and supports engineering teams in aligning technical solutions with real-world workforce needs. Dr. Brown developed her renewable energy expertise while serving as Head of Training at the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Wind Service Training Center. There, she managed training strategy for the Americas. Before entering the renewable energy field, Dr. Brown spent more than a decade at Lockheed Martin in systems engineering and program management, supporting both domestic and international defense contracts. Her work focused on complex missile systems, training, and logistics solutions. Dr. Brown holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the College of the Florida Keys, teaching in the Engineering Technology – Renewable Energy Technician program.
